Dimitris Brentas was born and raised in Pialia Trikala, where he got his first roots in traditional music. He came to Athens in 2004. In 2006 he studied clarinet, bagpipes, traditional music theory, and maqam in the traditional department of the Athens Conservatory.
He was a member of the band Hainides from 2008 to 2018 and has participated in concerts and performances all over Greece.
He is a founding member of the doros orchestral music quartet.
He is a founding member of the traditional Kyratzides company with extensive activity throughout Greece.
He is a partner of the band Villagers of Ioannina City and has participated in concerts and tours in Greece and Europe.
He still participates in performances with Marina Satti, and Alexandros Ktistakis and in the music and dance performance Lamenta.
He has participated in theater and dance performances in collaboration with the National Theater and the dance groups ‘Creo Dance Company’ and ‘And yet it moves.
He has also participated in recordings with many creators and composers, as well as for films and theater performances.
He has also collaborated with Christos Tsiamoulis, Psarantoni, Michalis Tzouganakis, Vangelis Kazatzis, Fogini Velesiotou.
